Keeping up the usual pattern followed so far the show kickstarts with an ABP News Reader telling that the search that was started 24 days before has finally ended…..and as promised Gauri was there to meet us and take 24 Days back to where and when it all began. And thus starts a brand new journey for the Viewers of Star Plus, and all Mohit Sehgal Fans who were desperately waiting for their favorite star to come back in a new project.

Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan is heart wrenching story of Gauri, a girl who is brought-up in London. At a glance she looks all fun and chirpy, her equation with her parents is adorable but there is something beneath that smile which is quite intriguing. There is emptiness in her world, there is emptiness within her and the silence in her life is transparent.

Coming to the characters of Gauri and Sid, Gauri (Essayed by Mrinal) comes across as a smart, sensitive and intelligent young girl whereas Mohit Sehgal’s character Siddharth at places remind you of Samrat from Miley Jab Hum Tum. As of now Gauri looks more responsible and mature when compared to Sid who at present is a tad bit reckless and more like a pampered child. From the looks of it these are simply not the characteristics one expects in a Mature Love Story but then it looks like Down the lane, as the show progresses what we saw today will be replaced by what Gauri and Sid actually are.

Sid and Gauri’s relationship: they are there they are engaged but not because they love each other….at least as of now it does not looks so….Here is why Gauri in her own words said that Sid was her Childhood BF and when he proposed which certainly looks like an idea fed to him by his parents and probably Gauri’s parents too, she decided why not…He was her Best friend, and what was wrong if that relationship turned into a companionship for life? As of now there is no love backing it……Which is good because then viewers could actually see Siddharth and Gauri falling in love. I am sure that the viewers would want to embark on this journey owing to the quick proposal and an engagement that was shown in its first episode.

For a first episode the spark the spirit that one looks forward to especially after the airing of some of the most impeccably creative and unique promos was found missing…. but then to judge a show by simply its first episode is totally unfair and uncalled for which is why we figured out there could be another possible explanation to all this and that goes same for the fast paced Sid-Gauri story, Viewers not getting to see a Mature Love Story and promised and much more. What if this was a deliberate attempt? What if it was a facade and things are not like they are shown? What if there is more depth to all of this and would only unravel with time giving us a much closer look into what Khamoshiyaan is all about. If you remember the story is now in Flashback mode, Gauri had taken the viewers into her life, her world to a particular period that took place 24 Days before…. There is definitely more to it. Come to think of it, for a show that had News Flashes for Promos making first timers believe that it was a Missing Person News Flash, the show would never be predictable and things are just getting warmed up.

Gauri’s world basically consists of her mom (Shruti Ulfat), her dad (Kabir Sadanand), her Best friend and now fiancé Siddharth and Sid’s parents. She talks about a certain Appa Saheb (Ravindra Laxman Mankani) too but clearly the detail she has regarding this man is false. He looks like an intriguing character and Gauri who has high regards for him seems to have a wrong idea, perception regarding him.

Preview

According to her he is a poor farmer in some remote village near Kolhapur, where there are not phone/mobs etc when in reality shows altogether a different story. Appa Saheb is a prominent figure in politics , he has not one but four mobiles and he is quite a dangerous man in his own sense but these facts are deliberately hidden from Gauri…Why are Gauri’s parents lying to her? Appa Saheb who in his introductory scene looked heartless shows immense concern for Gauri WHY?

Gauri has landed in India for a reason, and from the promo it’s more like something related to her birth. Well I guess it would be an interesting and different journey to embark upon lets see as to what lays beneath all this mystery.

Final Verdict:

Gone are the days when one lived by the phrase” First Impression is the Best Impression” which is why even if the show did not score well for a Pilot Episode must be given another shot coz it
definitely looks worth it.
